With more than 30 years of experience as a CPA, Dickie brings a distinguished perspective of the business world and its effect on planning and retirement goals as well as business investment planning. He enjoys engaging with clients, developing strong relationships with them and offering guidance to help them pursue their financial goals. Using clear and concise language, he helps clients gain a better grasp of all the moving parts of their financial plan and retirement goals.

Dickie joined Trinitas Wealth Management in 2019. Prior to that, he served in a controller role at Berry Enterprises, served as Chief Operating Officer and controller at a privately held healthcare group in Abingdon, held a senior accounting position with Pittston Coal and was a staff CPA with Dent K. Burke. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia, and earned a Certified Public Accountant license in 1987.

Giving back is important to Dickie. He served on the board and as Treasurer for Washington County Habitat for Humanity and Abingdon Church of the Nazarene and now serves as the Treasurer for Chilhowie Christian Church. He also is a board member for the Smyth County Educational Foundation.

A Virginia native, Dickie lives in Chilhowie with his wife, Dawn; they have three children, Eric, Brandon and Paige. When he’s away from the office, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with family (especially his grandsons), going on mission trips and serving at his church, where he is a coordinator for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University.
