The challenge of a constantly changing work environment is what drew Mike Albano to the field of financial planning and accounting. “What we do can have to a profoundly positive impact on someone’s life,” says Mike, who serves as vice president out of our Bristol, Virginia, office.

Mike’s enthusiasm can be heard when he’s answering client calls about financial planning, taxation and investment decisions. Backed by more than three decades of experience, Mike also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Tech.

Mike holds a number of certifications and memberships. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Smyth County Chamber of Commerce.

Outside the office, Mike is a youth Sunday school teacher. In addition to being designated a Rotary Citizen of the Year, he also started the Eric Albano Youth Soccer Foundation in memory of his son, who loved health and fitness. He and his wife, Pat, have two daughters and three grandchildren.
